Eighth Graders take Earth Science Regents class

UA Unison is proud to be offering the Earth Science Regents to a select group of 8th graders. Students, in groups, began by dissecting the many complex facets of the Reference Table (found at http://www.p12.nysed.gov/assessment/reftable/earthscience-rt/esrt2011-engr.pdf). Our focus has since been directed towards Mineral characteristics and the Rock Cycle and students have had hands-on opportunities to identify rocks and minerals and to find the density of complex-shaped objects.
